The Skaters Edge was established in 2005 and is owned and operated by Mike and Nick Brown. Mike retired from professional hockey as an equipment manager of 11 seasons to expand the business into Pro, College, and Jr A Team Sales.  The Skaters Edge was founded on the principal that it could assist an equipment manager or head coach by streamlining their ordering process.  Instead of having to constantly create multiple purchase orders for different vendors, they could use The Skaters Edge to be a one point dealer.  This would allow for one purchase order for any and all needed items, resulting in one point invoicing as well.

Over the years, Mike also designed, developed, and patented four specialty repair tools used in the hockey industry.  Three of these patents have been sold to Blademaster Canada to manufacture, market, and distribute worldwide.  Please check out our video link to youtube below to see quick videos on how these specialty skate tools operate.
